Who we are

What we collect
We collect only what you give us and what is needed to run the site:
- Contact form: your first name, email address, and message — used only to reply to you.
- Newsletter: your first name and email address — used only to send the newsletter you asked for.
- Purchases: your email and order details, processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
- Preferences: your light/dark theme choice is stored locally in your own browser (localStorage) and never sent to us.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not send spam. We do not use your children's information: our products are bought and used by adults, and we ask you not to submit information about your children through our forms.
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are read most — so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data (such as pages viewed and approximate location) on our behalf; we do not use it to identify you personally. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s opt-out add-on. Aside from analytics, the site works without tracking cookies — the only other value stored is your light/dark theme preference, kept locally in your own browser.
Emails
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately, and we delete your address from the mailing list.
How long we keep data
Contact messages: up to 2 years, so we can follow up on past conversations. Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. Order records: as long as required by tax and accounting law.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email admin@familydecode.com and we will act on your request within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/EEA under GDPR or California under CCPA), you may have additional rights, which we honor.
Third parties
We share data only with the service providers strictly needed to run the site — hosting, email delivery, and payment processing — and only the minimum they need. Google Analytics (site analytics), Gumroad (digital-product checkout), Hostinger (website hosting and email delivery), and Amazon Associates (affiliate links).
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will mention it in the newsletter.
